Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 9, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Kindled Body (“we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit https://kindledbody.com, subscribe to our newsletter or buy our digital products. We wrote it to be read, not skimmed past.
Who is responsible for your data
Kindled Body, based in India, is the controller of personal data processed through this website. Contact us about anything in this policy at hello@kindledbody.com.
What we collect
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address and first name (optional) | You subscribe to the newsletter or download a free guide | To send the newsletter and the guide you asked for |
| Name, email, country, order details | You buy a product | To deliver your purchase, provide support and keep business records |
| Messages you send us | You email or contact us | To answer you |
| Account email; your details (sex, year of birth, height, weight, optional body-fat %, activity, goal); food log and weigh-ins | You create a free nutrition tracker account | To calculate your targets and run the tracker for you (see below) |
| Usage data (pages viewed, device type, approximate location from IP, referring site) | You browse the site and accept analytics cookies | To understand what content is useful and improve the site |
We do not collect payment card details. Payments are handled entirely by our payment partner (see below). Apart from the nutrition tracker described below, we do not collect health data, and we ask you not to send us medical information.
Nutrition tracker (health data)
The free tracker stores the details and food and weight entries you give it. Some of this is health data, so we only process it with your explicit consent, which you give when you create your profile.
- What it is used for: only to calculate your targets and show your log back to you. We do not use it for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except the database provider below.
- Who can see it: only you, when signed in. The database enforces this for every record.
- Where it is stored: with Supabase (database and sign-in), on servers in the United States.
- Personalised plan: if you take the plan quiz and unlock the full plan, your answers (including training days, equipment, diet and foods to avoid) are saved to the same account, and we keep a record of your purchase (the payment ID from our payment provider) so we can give you access.
- Deleting it: use Delete my account in the tracker at any time. Your account, details, food log, weigh-ins and plan answers are erased immediately and permanently — including access to any plan you bought, so download or print it first. Withdrawing consent works the same way.
- The tracker is for healthy adults. It is not a medical device and does not give medical advice.
The free calorie calculator and food lookup run entirely in your browser; what you type into them is not sent to us.
Payments: our Merchant of Record
Purchases are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record — the legal reseller of our products. Dodo Payments collects your billing and payment information, calculates and remits sales tax/VAT, and shares with us the order details we need to deliver your product. Their handling of your data is governed by their own privacy policy, which is shown at checkout.
Legal bases (EU/UK visitors)
- Contract — delivering products you buy and providing support.
- Explicit consent — health data in the nutrition tracker.
- Consent — newsletter emails and analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Legitimate interests — keeping the site secure and preventing fraud.
- Legal obligation — keeping transaction records as tax law requires.
Who we share data with
We use a small number of service providers (“processors”) who handle data only on our instructions:
- Dodo Payments — checkout, tax and digital delivery
- Resend — sending emails
- PostHog — analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies
- Cloudflare — website hosting, security and content delivery
- Supabase — sign-in and database for the nutrition tracker
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
International transfers
Our providers may process data outside your country, including in the United States and India. Where the law requires, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
- Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe.
- Order records: as long as tax and accounting law requires (typically up to 8 years).
- Support emails: up to 2 years after the conversation ends.
- Analytics data: up to 12 months.
- Nutrition tracker data: until you delete your account (or ask us to).
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the EU/UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act, or India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023), you may have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- correct inaccurate data;
- delete your data;
- object to or restrict certain processing;
- receive your data in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time;
- not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.
To exercise any right, email hello@kindledbody.com. We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents: we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA/CPRA, and we honour Global Privacy Control signals by treating them as an opt-out of analytics.
Children
This website is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use HTTPS throughout, limit who can access data, and rely on providers with strong security practices. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above. For significant changes we will notify newsletter subscribers by email.
